That would be great!
PM me and let me know where to send it. It’s quite a large file.

Harmy,
Your restoration of How To Film The Impossible is great.
I still have the original pre-DVD DV transfer if you would like a copy and you were thinking about doing a version 2.
Let me know,

Re: Vegas - Is it frame accurate and lossless?
Hello all,
In order to release the long awaited bh019 I'm going to need a little help from the more technically savvy of you wonderful people.
I have recorded a show from Channel 4 HD here in the UK on my Humax HDR Freesat box in UNencrypted non-Freesat mode. It plays fine in VLC, but I want to remove the commercials and top and tail the rubbish AND keep it lossless.
I've tried loading the .TS file into TMPGenc MPEG editor 3 but it tells me there is no video track.
VideoREDO suite will save the file after editing with a filesize of 0kb.
ProjectX will not detect the video track.
It will convert into an MKV container (my new release method of choice) but unedited.
The video is h264 and the audio is AC3 which is why I want to use MPEG Editor 3 to get rid of the garbage.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
bh
P.S. If you haven't yet checked out JD's 'Raiding The Lost Ark', do so immediately
Next time I get myself to storage I'll see if I have it.
JD,
I think I have most of the French Lucasfilm magazines in storage ready to be sold. Which issue did you need?
And if anyone is interested in purchasing said magazines send me a PM

JD. You have a PM

Very briefly: Did a short test. It's hard to notice any difference when you have source material that is now nearly 30 years old! I might put a test up online for everyone to download. I do want some advice on something though. I want to resize the frame (not the image itself) to 1920x1080. This will pillar box the image. The original footage is DV so what's the easiest way of doing this?

I just want to know if there's any interest out there for it.
On this Clapperboard (v3) work, will it require a new cap from the beta source. Or do you still have the original cap, and are trying to improve the compression of that source?
none
The source is the original DV capture I did directly from the Betamax original. I'll be deinterlacing, possibly upscaling to 1920x1080 with pillar box and containing it in an mkv file.
I'll let you know how I progress

Hello all.
Long time no see.
I'm glad to see the scene is still thriving here and lots of fantastic projects are still in the works.
As you know it's been a while since my last release. I had great fun doing my set of DVD's but then real life took over. (It's a very time consuming process as many of you authors know).
I've been toying for a while with the idea of releasing some new material and also rereleasing some of the older stuff in a better quality format. I just want to know if there's any interest out there for it.
I'm not promising it's definitely going to happen but it would be nice to get some feedback.
This weekend I'm going to experiment with bh001 (Clapperboard). I'm going to try encoding it with h264 video and lossless PCM audio and see what comes out at the other end. I'll be using Handbrake on the Mac. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Good to see everyone keeping this place alive.
Regards

As many of you will already know, this coming Sunday Channel 4 Television in the UK will be screening ‘Bring Back… Star Wars’ with Justin Lee Collins attempting to reunite members of the cast of Star Wars. I will be recording the digital terrestrial transmission of the show for eventual release, but is anyone going to be recording the HD version from Channel 4 HD. If so, let me know. I’d like to make it my first HD release.
Cheers!
I've been watching this thread with great interest and can't wait to see Adywan's results. The demo looked fantastic on my PS3. It's the next step in my releases but until enough HD content becomes available I'm taking it slowly. The one question I do have is, has anyone tried Roxio's DVDit HD. I'd like to include menus on my releases and bar Scenarist I think this is the only program that will allow you to do that. Also, is a regular photoshopped 1920x1080 jpeg image good enough for menus and slideshows or are there any special requirements such as pixel aspect ratio etc.
Good luck Adywan! Can't wait!
